How Skill Compass Works
- The user describes a capability or problem they need to solve using Openclaw Skills.
- Skill Compass transforms this input into a structured query with specific weights for names, descriptions, and use-case scenarios.
- An initial retrieval pass (Round 1) is executed against the search API to find potential matches.
- If the results are ambiguous or split across different intents, the skill asks exactly one targeted clarification question.
- A second retrieval pass (Round 2) is performed using the clarification context and the original session ID.
- The skill presents 1 to 3 final recommendations, complete with fit reasons and GitHub repository star counts.
- Upon user verdict, telemetry is sent to the feedback endpoint to optimize future discovery cycles.
Skill Compass Setup
Skill Compass requires access to the Megatech AI search and feedback endpoints. Once a desired skill is identified, it can be installed using the following command:
