Specter CLI is a comprehensive tool designed to bridge the gap between the Specter intelligence platform and your local development or automation workflows. It allows developers and data analysts to programmatically look up company details via domains, enrich professional profiles using LinkedIn URLs, and track critical market signals like talent movement or investor interest. By integrating this tool into your Openclaw Skills library, you can automate lead generation and market research directly from your terminal or AI agent environment.
Clone and install the CLI from the repository:
git clone [email protected]:FroeMic/tryspecter-cli.git
cd tryspecter-cli
npm install
npm run build
npm link
Set the SPECTER_API_KEY environment variable. It is recommended to add this to your environment file for use with Openclaw Skills or to your shell configuration:
export SPECTER_API_KEY="your-api-key"
The CLI interacts with the Specter API using specific entity identifiers and organizes data into structured formats:
| Concept | ID Format | Example Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Companies | comp_* | Enriched company profiles with funding and team data |
| People | per_* | Professional profiles with LinkedIn-enriched data |
| Lists | list_* | Curated collections like Target Accounts |
| Searches | search_* | Persisted search queries from the Specter platform |
| Signals | signalId | Specific indicators for talent or investor interest |
