What is StaticHub Deployment?

The StaticHub skill provides developers and AI agents with a streamlined mechanism to publish web assets and static content instantly. Designed to integrate natively with Openclaw Skills, this command-line integration allows you to deploy static folders or raw .html pages to the cloud with a single command. By eliminating complex hosting workflows, it empowers AI coding agents to instantly share generated mockups, documents, and web applications.

Whether running an automated frontend build or pushing individual HTML reports, this skill ensures rapid deployment while enforcing safety checks to prevent empty deployments. It can run in either anonymous mode for quick tests or named project mode to maintain persistent subdomains.

StaticHub Deployment Use Cases

  • Deploying AI-generated HTML landing pages or mockups instantly for review.
  • Publishing static site builds or documentation directories direct to the web.
  • Sharing ad-hoc reports, like cost-optimization roadmaps or code analysis sheets, via public URLs.
  • Integrating automated static asset publishing into Openclaw Skills multi-agent pipelines.

How StaticHub Deployment Works

  1. The skill checks for the existence of the statichub CLI executable and verifies its version.
  2. It runs strict validation on the target deployment path to ensure it is a non-empty directory or a valid, non-empty .html file.
  3. The skill decides whether to deploy anonymously or using a custom project name via the --name flag.
  4. Upon executing the deployment, the skill parses the CLI output to extract and return the live URL and subdomain.

StaticHub Deployment Setup

First, verify if the StaticHub CLI is installed on your system. If it is missing, run the following command to download and install the CLI:

curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Patrick0308/statichub/main/scripts/install.sh | sh

Ensure that the CLI is added to your path. You can verify the installation by running:

statichub --help

To configure the skill inside Openclaw Skills, map the skill configuration to execute deployments targeting explicit paths.

StaticHub Deployment Data Schema & Taxonomy

The StaticHub deployment skill interacts with the local file system and returns structured output. Below is the specification of inputs and outputs:

Input Validation Schema

Parameter Type Required Description Constraints
<path> String Yes Path to the directory or HTML file Must be non-empty; cannot default to .
--name String No Custom project name Used for named deployment subdomains

Output Format

On a successful deploy, the command generates an output stream with the following structure:

✅ Deploy successful!
   URL: http://<subdomain>.statichub.dev
   Subdomain: <subdomain>

The parsed URL and Subdomain are then made available to subsequent steps in your Openclaw Skills workflow.

StaticHub Deployment Advanced Features

  • Path Validation Guardrails: Automatically rejects execution if target paths are empty, safeguarding against corrupted or accidental root deployments.
  • Anonymous & Named Deployment Flexibility: Supports anonymous, throwaway test deployments as well as project-named, consistent subdomains.
  • Error Recovery Mechanics: If path validation fails, the skill automatically stops and outputs actionable repair commands to the host environment.
  • Seamless Openclaw Skills Integration: Easily chains with AI content-generation agents to build, validate, and publish websites autonomously.
