What is STM Assistant?

The STM Assistant is a dedicated tool within the Openclaw Skills ecosystem designed to handle professional email outreach. It functions by sending messages through a specialized agent inbox while ensuring the human user remains fully informed through mandatory CC tracking and Reply-To routing. This skill is particularly valuable for maintaining a high level of professionalism in correspondence without requiring manual effort for every routine interaction.

By integrating seamlessly with mcporter and AgentMail, this skill allows for the creation of sophisticated, branded email signatures and organized thread management. It enforces a strict protocol that balances automation with human oversight, making it a reliable solution for scaleable outreach while preserving the personal touch of a professional assistant.

STM Assistant Use Cases

  • Automating routine scheduling and informational follow-ups to save time.
  • Sending professional outreach emails with standardized corporate branding and signatures.
  • Managing high-volume email workflows where agents draft messages for human approval.
  • Ensuring all agent-initiated communications are archived by the human via automatic CC protocols.

How STM Assistant Works

  1. The agent identifies the communication type and determines if it is a routine email or requires human approval.
  2. It prepares the email payload, ensuring the human's email is added to the CC field and the Reply-To header is set to the human's primary address.
  3. The skill generates a branded HTML signature containing the human's name and a hosted logo.
  4. Using mcporter, the agent sends the message via the configured agentmail inbox.
  5. The assistant periodically monitors the inbox for unread threads, processing replies and marking them with labels to ensure no communication is missed.

STM Assistant Setup

To deploy this skill, you must first have mcporter installed and configured with agentmail. Create your dedicated agent inbox using the following command:

mcporter call agentmail.create_inbox displayName="Your Assistant"

Additionally, ensure you have a hosted URL for your signature logo (60x60px) as inline base64 images are frequently blocked by email providers.

STM Assistant Data Schema & Taxonomy

The STM Assistant organizes email data and tracking using specific parameters and metadata labels within the Openclaw Skills framework:

Parameter Type Description
inboxId String The unique identifier for the agent's dedicated inbox.
to Array A collection of recipient objects containing email and name.
cc Array Contains the human user's email address for mandatory tracking.
html String The formatted email body, which must include the branded signature.
labels Array System labels such as unread and processed used for thread lifecycle management.

STM Assistant Advanced Features

  • Multi-stage approval logic that distinguishes between routine notifications and high-stakes legal or financial correspondence.
  • Automated thread lifecycle management using custom labels to prevent inbox clutter.
  • Dynamic HTML signature generation for consistent professional branding across all Openclaw Skills communications.
  • Integrated heartbeat monitoring to ensure the agent processes incoming replies in a timely manner.
