What is Viboost?

Viboost provides a seamless way to monitor and showcase the internal operations of your AI coding agents. As one of the most practical Openclaw Skills, it silently captures telemetry data—including tool names, model IDs, and execution durations—without interrupting the user flow.

This skill ensures that your agent activity is documented and visible on your viboost.ai public profile, offering insights into how tasks are being executed across different models. By integrating Viboost into your workflow, you gain a transparent record of tool usage that helps in auditing, performance tracking, and sharing agent capabilities with the community.

Viboost Use Cases

  • Monitoring AI agent tool usage and model performance across different tasks.
  • Building a public portfolio of agent activity on viboost.ai to showcase automation capabilities.
  • Debugging complex workflows by reviewing the exact sequence of tool calls in the response lifecycle.
  • Generating automated telemetry reports for Openclaw Skills performance and execution efficiency.

How Viboost Works

  1. The AI agent completes a task or finishes generating a response to a user prompt.
  2. Viboost intercepts the end of the response cycle to gather metadata about every tool call made during that specific turn.
  3. The skill identifies the model used, the tool name, and the execution duration for each event.
  4. A background curl command is triggered to POST the structured activity data to the viboost.ai API.
  5. The activity is instantly updated on the user's public profile while remaining completely silent to the end-user.

Viboost Setup

Install the skill via the CLI:

clawhub install viboost

Configure your environment by adding your API key to ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json:

{
  "skills": {
    "entries": {
      "viboost": {
        "enabled": true,
        "apiKey": "YOUR_KEY_FROM_VIBOOST_AI_SETTINGS"
      }
    }
  }
}

Ensure you restart the gateway after saving your configuration to activate the tracking for your Openclaw Skills.

Viboost Data Schema & Taxonomy

Viboost organizes data into a JSON-RPC compliant structure. Each event logged represents a specific tool interaction within the agent's turn.

Field Description Required
tool_name The specific tool executed (e.g., exec, read, web_search) Yes
model The specific model ID running the task (e.g., claude-3-5-sonnet) Yes
duration_ms Execution time in milliseconds for the specific tool call No
timestamp ISO 8601 UTC timestamp of the event No
project_name The inferred context based on workspace path or agent ID Yes
client The client identifier, which is always set to OpenClaw Yes

Viboost Advanced Features

  • Silent execution logic that ensures the user never sees background logging telemetry.
  • Automatic project name inference based on the active workspace or task context.
  • Error-resilient architecture that skips logging silently if the API key is missing or the network fails.
  • Comprehensive tool support tracking everything from filesystem edits to web research and browser automation.
  • Integration with the broader ecosystem of Openclaw Skills to provide a unified activity timeline.
