What is WalletPilot?

WalletPilot is a powerful automation layer designed to bridge AI agents with the decentralized web. By utilizing Openclaw Skills, this tool enables agents to interact with dapps and execute blockchain transactions through familiar browser extensions like MetaMask, Rabby, and Phantom. It prioritizes security by running agents in isolated browser profiles with dedicated wallets, ensuring your primary assets remain protected while the agent performs its tasks.

As a core part of the Openclaw Skills ecosystem, WalletPilot simplifies the complexity of web3 automation. It provides a standardized interface for different wallet providers, allowing developers to switch between extensions without rewriting agent logic. Whether managing assets on Ethereum or interacting with Solana protocols, this skill ensures that agentic workflows remain within safe, user-defined boundaries.

WalletPilot Use Cases

  • Automating token swaps and asset rebalancing across multiple decentralized exchanges.
  • Connecting AI agents to dapps for automated yield farming or liquidity provision.
  • Executing automated payments or transfers within predefined daily spend limits.
  • Signing on-chain messages to verify identity or interact with governance protocols.
  • Building automated trading bots that leverage browser-based wallet security and features.

How WalletPilot Works

  1. The AI agent initializes a controlled browser environment via Playwright using Openclaw Skills integration.
  2. A specific wallet adapter (e.g., MetaMask or Phantom) is loaded into an isolated browser profile.
  3. The agent navigates to a dapp and requests a connection or transaction action.
  4. WalletPilot guardrails intercept the request, checking it against spend limits and protocol allowlists in the permissions configuration.
  5. If the action passes the safety checks, the skill automates the wallet extension's UI to approve the transaction or sign the message.

WalletPilot Setup

To get started with this skill, clone the repository and install the necessary dependencies:

cd wallet-pilot
npm install
npx playwright install chromium

Configure your desired wallet provider in config.json and initialize the agent profile by running the setup script:

npm run setup

Finally, define your security boundaries in permissions.json to control daily spend limits and allowed chain IDs.

WalletPilot Data Schema & Taxonomy

WalletPilot manages its operational data and security settings through structured JSON files and isolated profile directories:

File/Directory Description
config.json Global configuration including the selected wallet provider and extension paths.
permissions.json Security constraints including daily spend limits, allowed protocols, and chain whitelists.
profiles/ Directory containing persistent browser data and wallet state for the agent.
logs/ Detailed transaction history and activity logs for auditing agent behavior.

WalletPilot Advanced Features

  • Plugin-based architecture allowing for the addition of custom wallet adapters via a standard interface.
  • Dual-engine support for both EVM and Solana ecosystems within a single automation framework.
  • Threshold-based approval system that triggers human intervention for transactions exceeding specific values.
  • Protocol-level allowlisting to restrict agent interactions to verified and trusted smart contracts.
  • Real-time USD price estimation to enforce spend limits across different native tokens and assets.
