What is ADE?

ADE is a local-first, open-source Agentic Development Environment that brings AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Factory Droid, and OpenCode into one synchronized workspace. It runs across macOS, Windows, Linux, the web, terminal, and iOS, allowing developers to manage parallel coding tasks using isolated Git worktrees, agent chats, terminals, pull requests, built-in tools, and remote machines.

How to use ADE?

Install ADE on macOS, Linux, or Windows, then open a repository and create a lane, which is an isolated Git worktree for a task. Choose an AI coding agent, describe the requested change in chat, and let the agent work in the lane. Review files, diffs, tests, terminal output, pull requests, and proof artifacts inside ADE. Commit, push, create, review, and merge pull requests without leaving the workspace. The same lanes and conversations can be accessed through the desktop app, terminal, web client, and iOS companion.
