Most AI video translators are made for creators: upload a file, wait, export a dubbed copy. EarDub works from the other side of the screen. It is a YouTube dubbing extension for people who watch: open any recorded video, press the EarDub button in the player, and the same video carries on with an AI voice in your language, timed to whoever is talking. There is no file to upload and no rendering queue. The translation is built for long, dense content. Auto-captions arrive in short fragments, so EarDub first rebuilds them into full sentences and translates with the context of the whole video. That keeps a lecturer's terminology, a product name or a guest's company consistent from the first minute to the last, instead of drifting from line to line. EarDub is designed for recorded videos; it does not dub live streams.
Add the EarDub extension to your browser, then open a recorded YouTube video and press the EarDub button in the player. Choose your language and one of the AI voices, and keep watching: the dub follows the speaker as the video plays, including when you pause or skip ahead. You can switch on bilingual subtitles and set the volume of the original audio and the dub separately. On online-course sites such as Udemy and Coursera it works the same way and moves on to the next lecture by itself.
