Mica is an Excel AI tool and workbook agent that completes the task inside your open file instead of handing you a formula to paste elsewhere. In your own spreadsheet, Mica changes cells, formulas and structure directly and shows every step as it happens, so you can stop it mid-task. Free to download, Mica gives new users a trial battery allowance, then charges per battery - $18 for one, $80 for five - with no subscription or monthly minimum. On Windows, Mica runs alongside Excel desktop, Excel 2007 through Microsoft 365.
How to use Mica?
1. Download Mica for Windows and install it - setup takes under ten minutes. 2. Authorize it once in your browser with a Microsoft, Google or GitHub account you already have; no new account is created. 3. Open the Excel file you are working on. 4. Describe the task in plain English, for example "clean this export and build a 10-period moving average with a chart". 5. Review the steps Mica plans to take and approve them, or stop at any point. 6. Mica executes the work in your workbook. Batteries are used only when a task runs.
