What is Nico?
Nico is a voice-to-action personal AI agent for Mac. It lets users speak requests from any app, share files, and have an AI agent work with their local files, screen, email, calendar, browser, and Mac apps. Agent tasks run on the user's connected AI account, while files, memories, and chat history stay on the Mac. Nico asks for approval before actions involving money or actions that cannot be undone.
How to use Nico?
Download and install Nico on an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 15.4 or later. Follow the setup checklist to grant microphone and Input Monitoring permissions, choose what Nico calls you, and connect an AI account or API key. Then hold the right Command key, speak a request, and release it. You can also drop a file onto Nico or ask about the window on your screen. Review and approve actions that require confirmation.
