Overview

This n8n workflow template is the crucial first step for advanced lead management from Webflow sites. When dealing with high volumes of site traffic, relying solely on email notifications for form submissions can be unreliable or slow for immediate processing. This n8n workflow provides a robust alternative. By using the dedicated Webflow n8n node as a trigger, you can instantly capture form data and pipeline it into any subsequent step—such as sending a Slack notification, creating a new row in Google Sheets, or adding a lead to Salesforce. This particular n8n workflow is designed to ensure you never miss a lead, providing immediate access to submission data right where you need it.

How it Works

This automation is initiated by a single, powerful n8n node: the Webflow Trigger. To begin, you must first activate this n8n workflow and configure the n8n trigger by linking your Webflow site using OAuth2 credentials. The Webflow Trigger n8n node then automatically registers a webhook with Webflow for the specific site ID provided. Every time a form is submitted on that Webflow site, Webflow sends the submission payload to the n8n trigger. The n8n workflow immediately captures the entire payload, including form field data, IP address, and submission time, making it available for subsequent steps in the n8n workflow. This initial n8n template is designed purely as the listening mechanism.

Installation Guide

  1. Import the n8n workflow: Copy the provided JSON data and paste it into your n8n instance using the 'New' menu and selecting 'Import from JSON'.

  2. Configure Webflow Credentials: The n8n node requires OAuth2 credentials. Click on the 'Webflow Trigger' n8n node, locate the 'Credentials' field, and select 'Create New'. Follow the n8n prompts to authorize your n8n instance with your Webflow account.

  3. Specify Site: Ensure the 'Site' parameter in the Webflow Trigger n8n node is correctly set to the unique ID of the Webflow site you wish to monitor for form submissions.

  4. Activate: Save the n8n workflow and click the 'Activate' toggle. The Webflow Trigger n8n node will now be actively listening for new form submission events from Webflow.
