How Agent Profile Images Works
- The user navigates to the Agents Overview panel which displays the new Profile Image management card.
- The user chooses to either upload a local file (PNG, JPG, WEBP, or GIF) or trigger an AI generation request.
- For AI generation, the user selects a theme preset and provides optional custom instructions.
- The system enters a preview state, allowing the user to Keep, Regenerate, or Cancel the generated image before it is saved.
- Upon saving, the image is written to the agent's local workspace directory under the avatars/ folder.
- The skill updates the IDENTITY.md file with the new avatar path, which is then broadcast across the Openclaw Skills gateway for consistent UI rendering.
Agent Profile Images Setup
To implement the Agent Profile Images functionality, ensure your environment is configured to support Openclaw Skills and OpenAI API access. Follow these steps:
- Copy the provided implementation files from the references folder into your local source directory.
- Ensure your gateway has the necessary RPC methods registered for
agents.avatar.uploadandagents.avatar.generate. - Configure your OpenAI API key in your environment variables to enable the image generation features.
- Rebuild your Control UI to reflect the new Agent Overview panels:
