What is Icon Designer Generator?

Icon Designer Generator is an AI image-generation skill powered by the OneKey Agent Gateway and the Craftsman image_generator API. It transforms a simple design brief into icon assets, posters, presentation pages, app-store visuals, or social media carousels using configurable templates, styles, dimensions, and page counts.

As part of Openclaw Skills, it is designed for automated creative production through both REST API requests and the OneKey CLI. Generated artwork includes editable text and structured visual layers, allowing users to refine headlines, content, colors, typography, images, and footers in the Craftsman workspace before exporting final assets.

Icon Designer Generator Use Cases

  • Generate branded icons and visual assets from a natural-language prompt.
  • Create AI posters for education, product marketing, technical explainers, or announcements.
  • Produce multi-page social media carousels for Instagram, X, Xiaohongshu, and similar channels.
  • Build presentation slides and app-store screenshots with reusable layout structures.
  • Apply creative directions such as futuristic, scientific, editorial, technological, or monochromatic styles.
  • Generate assets in square, portrait, vertical, or print-oriented formats such as 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, A4, A3, and A2.
  • Upload reference images and combine them with prompt-driven image generation.
  • Create editable designs when generated text, colors, typography, and layer placement need post-generation refinement.
  • Automate image production pipelines from scripts, agents, or Openclaw Skills-compatible workflows.

How Icon Designer Generator Works

  1. Set the DEEPNLP_ONEKEY_ROUTER_ACCESS environment variable with an access key registered through the DeepNLP workspace.
  2. Submit a design request to the craftsman-agent/craftsman-agent agent using the image_generator API.
  3. Provide a prompt, optional reference images, a supported template_id, card count, asset dimensions, and optional style or complexity settings.
  4. Optionally define design_config with audience and channel profiles, language, constraints, text styles, brief inputs, and page-template layers.
  5. The gateway resolves the design brief and generates image content while reserving editable space for text and other visual layers.
  6. Receive a structured response containing generation status, image URLs, session metadata, page geometry, and layer definitions.
  7. Open the returned share_url in the Craftsman workspace to edit text, colors, font sizes, images, and layout details.
  8. Export completed designs from the workspace as .pdf, .png, or .ppt files.

Icon Designer Generator Setup

  1. Obtain a registered OneKey Gateway access key from the DeepNLP workspace.
export DEEPNLP_ONEKEY_ROUTER_ACCESS=your_access_key
  1. Call the image generator through the OneKey Router. The minimum practical request includes a prompt, empty or uploaded images, a card count, the icon-designer template, and an asset size.
curl -X POST "https://agent.deepnlp.org/agent_router" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "X-OneKey: $DEEPNLP_ONEKEY_ROUTER_ACCESS" \
  -d '{
    "unique_id": "craftsman-agent/craftsman-agent",
    "api_id": "image_generator",
    "data": {
      "prompt": "Create a futuristic scientific icon about AI agents",
      "images": [],
      "card_count": 1,
      "template_id": "icon-designer",
      "asset_size": [{"width": 1080, "height": 1350, "ratio": "4:5"}],
      "mode": "basic",
      "styles": ["Futuristic scientific editorial style"]
    }
  }'
  1. Alternatively, use the OneKey CLI after exporting the access key.
npx onekey agent craftsman-agent/craftsman-agent image_generator '{"prompt":"Create a futuristic scientific icon about AI agents","images":[],"card_count":1,"template_id":"icon-designer","api_id":"image_generator","asset_size":[{"width":1080,"height":1350,"ratio":"4:5"}],"mode":"basic","styles":["Futuristic scientific editorial style"]}'

No Node.js or Python package dependencies are listed in the skill manifest. Supported request fields include prompt, images, api_id, template_id, card_count, and asset_size; mode, styles, and design_config are optional.

Icon Designer Generator Data Schema & Taxonomy

Request fields

Field Required Purpose
prompt Yes Design goal or subject description.
images Yes List of uploaded reference-image inputs; use [] when none are needed.
api_id Yes Set to image_generator.
template_id Yes Selects the visual format, such as icon-designer, social-media-carousel, presentation, app-store, ai-poster, or photo-editor.
card_count Yes Number of generated pages or cards.
asset_size Yes List of objects containing width, height, and ratio.
mode No Generation complexity: basic, standard, or advanced.
styles No Array of visual-style instructions.
design_config No Detailed brief, typography, constraints, profiles, and page-layer configuration.

Design configuration taxonomy

  • Profiles: channel_profile, audience_profile, age_band, profile_version, and resolved_profiles describe the intended audience and delivery channel.
  • Generation controls: language, mode, text_model, and image_model control language and model selection; default values are supported.
  • Creative direction: styles contains style blocks such as editorial, futuristic, or monochromatic treatments.
  • Constraints: constraints captures limits such as maximum page count, density, or print requirements.
  • Brief inputs: brief_inputs is an array of objects with id, type, and content; common types include prompt, style, and constraint.
  • Text styles: text_styles can define brand, headline, content, and footer properties including color, font, size, weight, alignment, line height, and letter spacing.
  • Page templates: page_templates defines reusable layers such as background, brand, image, text, and cta, each with position, size, and optional style overrides.

Response and generated files

Response field Description
success Indicates whether generation completed successfully.
partial_success Indicates whether only some cards were generated.
session_id Unique generation and editing session identifier.
title / summary Human-readable result metadata.
share_url Craftsman workspace URL for editing and exporting.
images Generated image URL objects, generally one per card.
geometry Canvas geometry such as 1080x1350.
data.schema_version Structured output version, such as image-generator.v1.
data.sequence_pages Array of generated page records.
sequence_pages[].layers Positioned background, image, text, headline, brand, and CTA layers.

Each page can include id, label, canvas_width, canvas_height, generation status, image prompts, content blocks, and editable layer values. Final assets can be exported from the workspace as PDF, PNG, or PPT.

Icon Designer Generator Advanced Features

  • Supports multiple output templates, including icon designer, AI poster, social media carousel, presentation, app-store, and photo editor formats.
  • Generates one or many cards through the card_count parameter and reports failed card indexes for partial-success handling.
  • Accepts uploaded reference images alongside text prompts.
  • Supports configurable canvas geometry with common ratios including 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, and A-series print formats.
  • Provides basic, standard, and advanced generation modes.
  • Separates image generation from editable typography and layout layers, enabling post-generation design changes.
  • Supports structured design briefs with prompt, style, and constraint inputs.
