Where is my data stored?

All recordings are encrypted and securely stored on Amazon AWS servers. Your account data (email, preferences, etc.) is stored separately on DigitalOcean. Both providers use bank-level encryption, and access is restricted to comply with the strictest privacy standards.

Will OpenAI use my recordings to train their AI models?

No. AudioDiary has a GDPR-compliant agreement with OpenAI that prohibits them from using your data to train their models. Transcription and analysis are processed securely and privately.

Can I disable the AI features?

AI is core to AudioDiary's functionality and cannot be turned off. If you prefer a non-AI journaling tool, consider using your phone's built-in recording app.

Is there a lifetime option instead of a subscription?

AudioDiary does not offer a lifetime subscription due to the ongoing costs of hosting, analysis, and maintenance. A subscription model allows for continuous investment in the platform and ensures a high standard of service.

Who can access my data besides me?

Your entries are private. AudioDiary employees will not access your recordings or transcriptions unless explicitly required by law (e.g., a valid court order). Third-party providers (AWS, DigitalOcean) follow strict protocols and cannot access your data without legal authorization.

How do I permanently delete my data?

You can delete individual entries (or your entire account) at any time within the app.

What is included in the paid plan?

The paid plan includes 10x the recording time, super-intelligent AI analysis, custom tags, custom themes, dream analysis, 10 photo uploads per day, and more features coming soon!

Will my entries be used for advertising or marketing?

Never. AudioDiary does not sell, share, or profit from your diary entries in any way other than to provide the service to you, whether paid or free. Your recordings are strictly confidential.

Can I export my data?

Yes, you can export all your audio, transcripts, images, and even a markdown file directly to your email. You'll also receive a complete diary PDF that you can print!
