What is BetterZap?
BetterZap is a Chrome extension for small businesses that work on WhatsApp Web. Its Premium plan adds an AI chatbot that reads a customer's question in their own words and answers from the knowledge base you wrote: prices, hours, address, policies. When the answer isn't in your knowledge base, it hands the conversation to you instead of guessing. The chatbot only writes replies. It can't take actions, change anything or schedule anything. It has a monthly allowance of 2,000 AI replies, needs Chrome open, and an answer can take about a minute. To write each reply, your knowledge base and the recent messages of that conversation pass through BetterZap's server to Anthropic, which provides the AI. BetterZap's server doesn't keep them. Around it, every plan has scheduling, message templates, a pipeline of customers with follow-up reminders, and auto-reply with menus you set up. Messages go one person at a time, with gaps between sends. BetterZap runs on top of WhatsApp Web, so it needs Chrome open and WhatsApp Web signed in. The panel is available in English and Portuguese, and you can also open it on your phone.
How to use BetterZap?
1. Install the BetterZap extension from the Chrome Web Store and open WhatsApp Web in Chrome. 2. Open the BetterZap panel and write your knowledge base: prices, hours, address, policies and the answers to the questions your customers ask most. 3. Subscribe to the Premium plan and turn the AI chatbot on. 4. When a customer writes, the chatbot answers from your knowledge base. If the answer isn't there, it hands the conversation to you and the chat appears in your "needs you" list.
